Birthday parties are one of my favorite things to photograph. It is full of props and great colors, let’s not forget it includes CAKE! I’ve been capturing these sweet yet unforgettable moments for many families over the years. This family in particular has the best Houston birthday parties. Let me take you back to a one of my favorite ones, RAWR. Such a fun party, right?

Part of being a business owner in this industry, which is photography. You have to find the time to blog your recent sessions or better yet, make the time. I must say that this year keeping the blog updated was the least of my worries and put it on my “do not do list.” I’m the first one to admit it, there I said it. But y’all, It is so hard sometimes and that’s no excuse, I know. Clients or potential clients want to know what you have worked on recently and the blog is a great way for them to find out. Not everyone has Instagram or Facebook and let me just throw this out there while I am being completely honest, I’ve also dropped the ball on social media. I’m the worst, I know.
Everyday is a new day
If you haven’t heard of Rachel Hollis you must grab her new book and read it! Like NOW. She is my new spirit animal and her words have stuck with me. And my new motto is, “Everyday is a new day.” I have done more in the past two weeks than in the past five months. My website needed new content and maybe it also needs a new design, but I need money for that and It will have to wait a little longer. HA!
