i have been in business since 2010 and i never really took a hands on workshop, i took a lot of online mentoring workshops plus google and youtube helped out a lot and of course having friends to help you out and i took any advice anyone gave me, but i have to say that practice is what helped me get to where i am now. I’m a member of a local photography group online geez i adore those girls.. and this beautiful pregnant lady is one of those members, Allison. Allison got the amazing Jennifer Dell to come to one of our photographer meetings one night to talk about the business side of photography and it was great meeting her, she mentioned she was having a photography workshop and i didn’t think it twice i messaged her with in days and hopped on the wagon. I was very excited about meeting other photographers and having a day full of adventure and so it happen. We discussed just about everything over dinner and then headed out to shoot this beautiful momma and her littles it was great getting to see how she shot a session and getting a one on one with her, it was AMAZINGGGG. I definitely needed to go out and try something different, i even tried new lenses and i have a few on my bucket list now. If you have a chance to attend a workshop that interest you i say do it you will have a good time, learn new things and meet great people.
I had an amazing time shooting these ladies and i even tried a new editing technique a little out of my comfort zone but i feel very good about it. Taking risks is always a good thing don’t just sit there and do the same thing because you will never get anywhere. Workshop was a success and i can’t wait to attend a few more.
