Elephant Birthday Cinco Ranch… Houston Texas Birthday Bash

The second best thing I love to photograph are parties! This one was a very special one. I met this family last year in April to shoot baby’s Kate 1st birthday bash. Let’s go back and check it out.

A year went by super fast and Kate grew so much. Watching her grow behind my lens is a complete privilege.

Summer is full of birthdays and I can’t wait to capture more memories for my clients and their children.

I am already thinking about my daughters birthday and I need to ask if she wants a party this year. Last year she decided she just wanted to spend it with mommy and daddy and we planned a trip to the Great Wolf Lodge. She absolutely had the best time in Dallas that weekend. I do miss planning a birthday party, but I won’t lie, It was easier to plan a trip.

A photographer is always needed at birthday parties, I would love to capture all those wonderful memories for you MOM and let you enjoy the party with your family and friends, most importantly with your child.

Texas and Bluebonnets… Children Photography Houston

If I am not mistaken this is the fifth year my daughter has been to a bluebonnet field. Bluebonnets is a Texas thing. I am sure people and photographers from the U.S. visit Texas just to photograph this gorgeous Texas state flower. This year I decided why not include a flower crown, I mean they have been popular for many years. My original idea was to include bluebonnets in the flower crown, but the florist quickly did her researched and told me they wouldn’t last twenty minutes.

As I blog this session of my daughter I realize that she is growing up faster than I thought she would. I left this session in tears as she requested for this to be her last trip to a bluebonnet field, I don’t know if it was the forty minute drive or the fact that she is just over it. These days she is just very excited about swim and school. She is up by 6:20am ready to go, NO JOKE! Maybe it will take time but I have to get use to the idea that she is no longer three yeas young and ice cream was the keyword.

My print lab is getting a big order from me today. I have to order one of these images in a a big canvas as I am sure it will be the last bluebonnet session for my bug.

GAH!!!

This mommy and son session was outstanding. Kara is a very good friend of mine, I shot their beach family session two years ago in Galveston Texas. Kara is also an amazing photographer in The Woodlands. Y’all have no idea how it feels to have another great photographers trust you with their own family. I will tell you this, I’m always very nervous. So nervous I feel sick.

Its very humbling to have great friends who don’t see you as their competition and we can all be happy for each others success.

Location? This location is very tricky. Its hidden in a gorgeous neighborhood in Cypress, my brother lives down the street from it and he really wanted his own family session at this location last fall. (Instagram has a few images from their family session.) That’s how I found it and it is a very popular location for Cypress Photographers. If you need directions shoot me an email.

After switching dates do to a family emergency and then rain we finally made it out and had a fantastic time.
