some people think it’s easy photographing your own children i think its a challenge… well sometimes.. my daughter gets tired of being asked to do something over and over so thats why i mostly shoot her with more of a lifestyle concept it’s just easier for us and i personally love it. this back to school mini session was done in fifteen minutes something because this texas heat is no joke and she doesn’t like to be hot just like her momma. I was lucky to find some suspenders in time for our session… they have been a big hit she won’t take them off… hehe. we changed her hair twice because she insisted in having some braids which i love.

she is starting pre k this year and we are very excited we already purchased her backpack if you want to take a peak on how it went look here.

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer specially since school will be starting in just a few weeks.. I’m keeping busy enjoying all the time i have left with my daughter before she officially becomes a school girl. Having her in pre school these past two years won’t be as hard as the real thing because before i could pick her up early and we would do our weekly shopping together or have lunch together, now it won’t be easy taking her out just because i miss her and want her to be with me it something i will have to get use to. but over all I’m very excited because she’s very excited. with that being said hope everyone has a great school year. 🙂

I was so happy to see little Haylee again for a back to school shoot.. she is starting pre k this year and i can imagine how her parents are feeling right about now as i am going through the same emotions. I was happy i was able to include my vintage score of a desk can you say antique and i love it i drove about 35miles to pick it up but it was very worth it. love everything about this desk too bad i can’t put it in my daughters room there is no more space lol. If anyone is interested in borrowing it let me know i would gladly loan it to you great for any dream session just make sure to give me a heads up since i will be taking it to my storage unit very soon.

When you have clients like Haylee sessions goes by so fast that you would want to start all over again, such a sweet girl. thanks again sweet girl.

We are very excited for this new chapter in our daughters life she is starting pre k this year and she has been very excited about shopping for her school supplies. One of the things she has been more excited about is her backpack in her eyes having the backpack makes it real and i won’t lie it made it even more real to me because we have never shopped for a school backpack before she had a mini backpack for pre school these past two years but it was nothing like this…. we went to our favorite store (target) just to shop for school items and she asked an employee for the school section and they sent us all the way to the right back corner of the store… she was happy, her face was full of excitement. she walked and walked looked around and she saw the ONE she loved, she touched it to make sure it was real, grabbed it and tried it on, best part was i was seeing everything through my camera and was able to capture this special moment for her.

As you can see she chose a Frozen backpack which I’m not surprised because she told me days before she had a dream that her school backpack  was purple and had elsa and ana in the front…. I told her dreams come true my princess so i believe you.

Good luck to all of you who are going out shopping on tax free weekend you are very brave… not me lol i will be enjoying the last few days i have with my daughter at home and will likely be working 🙂 hope your kids have a great school year as well as you… and if anyone wants to have lunch once school starts give me a call we will have a few hours to talk and eat with out having our kids call our name like ten times lol.
