Cotton Candy Wall… Houston Photographer Family

It feels good to be back and sharing all these wonderful family sessions with y’all. Getting back on a schedule has been more of a challenge this time around. I did take some time off and I don’t believe it was enough.

A few weeks ago a lost my grandmother, (my fathers mom) and four weeks later we lost my papa, (my mothers father.) It has not been easy on my parents and it has taken a toll on me. My daughter keeps me very busy and focused on the right now. I absolutely love my job and it has helped me not to think about my losses. Death is TOUGH!!! Please keep sending your prayers our way as we cope with all of this.

Time off is what my soul need right now and I’ve decided to take summer off and focus on my self and my family. I will be blogging more of my sessions and plan for fall sessions in Houston.

But for NOW!!!

Here is the wonderful cotton candy family session in downtown Houston! This location has always been a favorite for me. It has also become a favorite for my clients. I was just there this past Monday shooting a very awesome session for two wonderful kiddos, (that session will be coming very soon.) This session was really fun, this location in Houston is also very popular. We had families on both our sides and we still managed to make it work. I suggest using this location during the week, it will be a ghost town for sure.

Texas and Bluebonnets… Children Photography Houston

If I am not mistaken this is the fifth year my daughter has been to a bluebonnet field. Bluebonnets is a Texas thing. I am sure people and photographers from the U.S. visit Texas just to photograph this gorgeous Texas state flower. This year I decided why not include a flower crown, I mean they have been popular for many years. My original idea was to include bluebonnets in the flower crown, but the florist quickly did her researched and told me they wouldn’t last twenty minutes.

As I blog this session of my daughter I realize that she is growing up faster than I thought she would. I left this session in tears as she requested for this to be her last trip to a bluebonnet field, I don’t know if it was the forty minute drive or the fact that she is just over it. These days she is just very excited about swim and school. She is up by 6:20am ready to go, NO JOKE! Maybe it will take time but I have to get use to the idea that she is no longer three yeas young and ice cream was the keyword.

My print lab is getting a big order from me today. I have to order one of these images in a a big canvas as I am sure it will be the last bluebonnet session for my bug.

Houston Family Photography… Tomball Family Photographer

Can I just say that I am very proud of my self for keeping my blog up to date with current sessions. As I am delivering galleries I’m also blogging them. I just hope this sticks, hehe. This Cypress location has become a favorite for clients. When I shot here last fall I didn’t think I would be back. This is my fifth session at this location and every time each session is very unique. I only wish I could share the other two shoots, unfortunately parents requested session not to be shared which I respect.

Moving on, I will try and have my Maui, HI trip blogged with in the next week or two. I ventured out and created my first video ever!! You will see that link on the blog post.

I am crazy talking about fall, I know, summer isn’t even here yet, but my clients are way ahead of me and are starting to book. “You are crazy!” NOP, I’m so serious, half my October is booked.

I have one more available slot for beach sessions in Galveston for the month of April. May still has three open dates, June and July are very limited as I will be in and out of town.
